Due to continued expansion and growth, a vacancy has arisen for a General/Warehouse Operative who will form an integral part of our Production team based at our Carrigaline facility.

 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving all deliveries and checking the goods received
  • Liaising with suppliers about deliveries and discrepancies in stock
  • Updating inventory management systems regularly
  • Picking and delivering goods by using a forklift
  • Working on various tools throughout the manufacturing process such as cutting; grinding; flaring; testing and painting.
  • Achieve daily/ weekly production targets
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly and complete testing in accordance with the set test procedures
  • Maintain a clean and safe working area at all times
  • Cross train in other production roles as required
  • Complete weekly timesheets and communicate timely updates to management
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications & Experience:

This position requires the successful candidate to be very flexible in terms of their daily duties, the following are a list of key requirements for the role:

  • Basic IT skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft packages 
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as being a team player particularly during busy periods where flexibility is required
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to stand on their feet for long hours
  • Ideally previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Familiar with tools and machinery required to perform daily tasks
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivated
  • Previous experience of working as part of a wider team
